Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Joe (he/him/his) moved to Los Angeles to attend the BFA Acting program at USC's School of Dramatic Arts.

In 2014, he wrote, directed, produced, and acted in Complete Works, a critically-acclaimed indie comedy set in the world of a collegiate Shakespeare competition that premiered on Hulu as a 5-episode mini-series for Shakespeare's 450th Birthday. On the festival circuit, Joe won Best Actor (Vancouver Web Festival) and Best Director (Hollyweb Fest). The entire series, re-edited as a feature, is now available on Vimeo.

Since the release of Complete Works, Joe has been writing and developing ideas for television and film with his wife and writing partner, Lili Fuller.

In 2017, they wrote and developed The Cut, a dance drama pilot for FOX with 20th Century Fox and McG's production company, Wonderland Sound & Vision.

Currently, they have two TV series in development: a musical theatre comedy and a girls soccer drama with EPs Alex Morgan, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Joe Roth.

As an actor, Joe can be found in a variety of TV shows and films (see those here + a few more on IMDb). Onstage, he has performed with A Noise Within, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Boom Kat Dance Theatre, Ensemble Theatre Company, Company of Angels, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and more.

Joe was a Presidential Scholar in the Arts, a YoungArts Theatre Winner, and the winner of the National Shakespeare Competition at Lincoln Center.
