Joe grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved to Los Angeles to attend the BFA Acting program at the University of Southern California.

He wrote, directed, produced, and acted in Complete Works, a critically-acclaimed comedy set in the world of a collegiate Shakespeare competition, for which he won Best Actor (Vancouver Web Fest) and Best Director (HollyWeb Fest). It was recently re-released as a feature on Amazon Prime!

Onstage, Joe has performed at various regional theater companies, including A Noise Within, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Boom Kat Dance Theatre, Ensemble Theatre Company, Company of Angels, and more.

He was recognized at the Kennedy Center as a Presidential Scholar in the Arts, and he won the National Shakespeare Competition at Lincoln Center out of over 16,000 competitors across the country. 

At USC, he sang and beatboxed with the 5x ICCA a cappella champions SoCal VoCals and continued on to perform with a handful of the group's alumni on NBC's The Sing Off.

He studies acting with renowned teacher Larry Moss and improv with The Groundlings. 

He is currently writing and developing ideas for television and film with his wife and writing partner, Lili Fuller.
