Since the release of Complete Works on Hulu, Joe has been writing and developing ideas for TV and film with his wife and writing partner, Lili Fuller.

In 2017, they wrote The Cut, a dance drama pilot for FOX with 20th Century Fox and McG's production company, Wonderland Sound & Vision.

Currently, they have two television projects in development: 

142nd Street, a musical comedy series centered on an ensemble of broke, cusp Gen Z/Millennials as they kick, screlt and struggle to make it on Broadway while living a hundred blocks from their dreams

and

The Pride, a one-hour drama series that revolves around the players, parents, and coaches of an elite girls club soccer team in San Diego — the La Jolla FC Lions — and their drive to become the best, both on and off the field. EPs: Alex Morgan & Roth/Kirschenbaum Films.
